The Spirit of the Beehive

Not long after the end of the Spanish Civil War, two young sisters living in a remote Castilian village pay a visit to a travelling cinema show, where they see Boris Karloff in Frankenstein. The younger of the pair is entranced and, believing her elder sister's assurances that Frankenstein's monster actually exists, sets out into the countryside to find him, with devastating consequences.
