War drama set in the former Yugoslavia in '93. A Bosnian soldier, caught between the frontlines, hides in an abandoned trench. But he soon faces a Serbian soldier sent to find him.

War drama set in the former Yugoslavia in 1993. A relief unit of Bosinian soldiers are shot at as they find themselves between the frontlines. Ciki, a Bosnian soldier, escapes being killed by hiding in an abandoned trench, where he soon comes face to face with Nino, a Serbian soldier sent to find him. But they are not alone; a wounded Bosnian soldier is lying on a landmine which will explode if he moves. With UN Peacekeeping forces alerted and a pushy English news reporter hoping to file a big story, the chances of resolving the frighteningly absurd situation look increasingly slim. Winner of the 2002 Best Foreign Language Film Oscar.
