Insects are everywhere. From the open ocean to the harshest deserts, from freezing mountain tops to a 2000 degree blast furnace, some insects call it home. It is the most successful invasion of Planet Earth ever, made possible when, 300 million years ago, insects evolved wings. Even the tiniest insects can span the globe and some migrate in their millions each year - spectacles of awesome beauty.

Alien Empire braves the slopes of an active volcano to seek out weird crickets that live there, and crosses the Pacific to find the ocean strider, at home on the surface of the water in the middle of the ocean.
