Back in 2015 Muse headlined BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in Norwich, part of a stellar line up which also featured Foo Fighters and Taylor Swift.
Their performance was characteristically epic and dramatic, as they played dressed in black and set off streamers bathed in red and white light.
2. The BRITs 2013

In 2013 Muse opened The BRIT Awards with a spectacular performance of their hit Supremacy. While they lost out on scooping best British Live Act (to Coldplay) and best British Group (to Mumford & Sons) they still had an incredible night.
Matt, Dominic and Chris from the group also caught up with Radio 1's very own Greg James for an exclusive backstage chat.
3. Radio 1 Evening Session Tour 1999

True Muse buffs can dive right back into the archives with this early performance at Radio 1's Evening Session Tour, recorded in Portsmouth in 1999.
Evidence, as if any were needed, that Radio 1 have supported Muse since the early days.
4. Glastonbury 2016

Muse - Glastonbury 2016 Highlights
Delivering epic alt-rock, Muse close the first night of this year's Glastonbury.
On the Friday night of Glastonbury 2016, Muse made Glastonbury history. Having played Glasto's Sunday night slot back in 2004, and the Saturday night gig in 2010, they became the first band in history to headline the Pyramid Stage on every night of the festival.
Radio 1 were there to broadcast their amazing performance, which shook Worthy Farm to its core in the best possible way.
5. Live Lounge Special 2015

It's always a pleasure when the Muse boys come into the Radio 1 Live Lounge for a more intimate live performance, but we particularly loved it back in 2015 when they did a full, six track session.
Their cover of Chvrches' Lies was typically brilliant, giving the electropop classic a harder, rockier twist.
6. Reading and Leeds 2017

Annie Mac was joined by Matt and Dom as they unveil their plans for this summer.
Radio 1 are always there to bring you the action from Reading and Leeds, and in 2017 Muse played a blinder at the festivals.
In the run up to the big events Matt and Dom came in to co-host the Annie Mac show, and revealed a few of their exciting plans...
7. Radio 1 Breakfast Show interview 2016

‘They have a mind of their own. It’s AI scary!’ – Matt Bellamy battles with modern technology on tour
The Muse front man talks revolving stages, drummer’s bums and drones at gigs!
With their dramatic live performances and intense, often melancholic style, Muse can seem like very serious people. So it's good to hear, as we did when they came in for a chat with Grimmy on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show back in 2016, that Muse are also more than capable of laughing at themselves.
We particularly love the truly Spinal Tap-esque story they told Nick, about all their automated drones failing and falling during a Detroit gig on tour. "It was so embarassingly bad," said Matt.
