What should I expect when I arrive at the event?
For Radio 2's Festival in a Day 2014, we have a new admissions procedure in place at the main entrance. This is to ensure a better experience for all but also due to heightened security in the London area. If you are travelling to the event, please allow plenty of time for your journey and expect rigorous searches on the door.
In order to ensure a better experience for all, this year we will be operating an improved queuing system at Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park. On arrival at the arena gates there will be 3 sets of queuing lanes – Green (Large bags and hampers), Yellow (Medium bags and rucksacks) and Blue (No bag/handbag only)
There will be stewards on hand to assist you in choosing your lane, depending on how much baggage you have with you. These stewards reserve the right to direct you to any lane at their discretion to manage the queues effectively and to facilitate your entry to the event.
The lanes will also be clearly signposted so please make your way to the correct lane in order to minimise delays.
If you are bringing large amounts of baggage please expect it to take longer to enter the site.
Please note that due to heightened security alerts in the London area all customers should expect some delay in passing through our search procedures, therefore please allow additional time.
Arena Managers will be moving around the site. They will be on hand to assist you or answer any questions you may have about the event. They also reserve the right to reduce the footprint of those customers with picnics in order to make the event more enjoyable and comfortable for all customers.
There will be an information tent at the event next to the main entrance within the arena which will be clearly signposted. The staff in this tent are on hand to answer any questions you may have whilst at the event.

Gates on all sides of the park will be open for egress so please use the nearest gate to you.
