Every day (apart from T Shirt Day) we play you a track that has just grabbed our attention. As soon as we hear it, we send it into the digital ether for you all to enjoy. Sometimes it's an exclusive, sometimes it's a favourite artist and, other times, it'll be a brand new artist. Here's this week's choice selection. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club – Question of Faith
Ash, from Team Laverne, is a BRMC fanboy, so the trio’s newest single leapt straight to the top of the pile on a cold Monday morning. The band are currently putting the finishing touches to an eighth album, Wrong Creatures, which will be released in January 2018. And its moody vibes are understandable given that the trio “toured ‘til the wheels came off and Leah͛’s brain literally started leaking out of her head.” says Robert Levon Been. “I know I’ve battled on and off with mental depression, and Pete’s head never came with any proper instructions.”

Imarhan – Azzaman
We welcomed Tuesday with something sunny from desert rockers Imarhan. The band release a new album in February 2018 and this is the opening track. The band say Azzaman is about the passing of time and the handing over of a heritage by each generation. It’s also about connecting the cultures, the mixing of the old with the new. And the video was shot in Algiers to reflect the meaning behind the song: it’s a big cosmopolitan city, an urban environment which culturally offers a lot yet it’s still a place in which preserves some Tuareg ways of life.

The Juan Maclean - The Brighter The Light
Juan is a Brooklyn-based DJ and producer who has been a mainstay of the New York club scene, and spun discs around the world, since the release of his first records on James Murphy’s DFA label. He’s previously collaborated with Nancy Whang (most recently on 2017’s single Can You Ever Really Know Somebody) and created this banger whilst waiting for her to finish touring with LCD Soundsystem.

Nightmares On Wax – Citizen Kane
George Evelyn is the longest-serving artist signed to Warp Records, fact fans, his first album (A Word Of Science) dates way back to 1991. Here he returns, with a taster of his new album, Shape The Future, which is due in January 2018. It features London-based singer-songwriter and producer Mozez, as well as the Canadian rapper and Kanye West-collaborator Allan Kingdom.
