The Fort William to Mallaig train line – voted the best train journey in the world in 2009 – is well known to Harry Potter fans as the Glenfinnan viaduct was one of the film’s locations.

The journey to the picturesque port of Mallaig passes some of the most beautiful lakes, lochs and coastal views the west coast of Scotland has to offer.

Dunnottar Castle was the one-time home of the Earls Marischal, who were considered one of the most powerful families in Scotland.

The castle was the hiding place for the ‘Honours of Scotland’: the Scottish crown jewels Cromwell’s army were trying to find during the 17th Century.

Crawick Multiverse is a land restoration and art project designed by world-renowned artist Charles Jencks.

It is known as the multiverse due to the landscape being created to link themes of space, cosmology and astrology and therefore echo discoveries and theories of the universe.
