Every year in January BBC Radio 1Xtra runs a feature which highlights the most exciting new acts to breakthrough in the year to come.

BBC Radio 1Xtra Hot Ten for 2013 list is compiled by canvassing 1Xtra DJ’s, show producers and the 1Xtra Music Team.

Previous acts that have been tipped on the BBC Radio 1Xtra Hot For lists are Emeli Sandé, Ed Sheeran, Wretch 32, Flux Pavilion, Maverick Sabre, Jessie J and Azealia Banks.

"New" means new to the general public. They may have been around for a while but are now ready to step up to the next level of recognition.
