About Yasmin

Beginning her radio career at just 15 on one of Manchester’s leading community radio stations, Stockport born Yasmin Evans was spotted in her final year of university by the BBC. She piloted for Radio 1Xtra and within a few months was given the network’s Weekend Breakfast Show to host. In July 2013, she moved onto the flagship Weekday Breakfast co-hosting with Twin B.

During her time at the BBC, Yasmin has hosted a range of events including 1Xtra’s Live on the BBC Red Button and Radio 1’s Big Weekend Backstage. She also hosts CBBC’s Ice Stars and VEVO UK’S online programming.

Inspired by her Grandmother's open kitchen policy, when she is not busy working, Yasmin can be found in the kitchen experimenting, researching and documenting new recipes and ingredients.
