Meet Sally

The key learning points that Lorraine shared with me have become second nature: tasting food as I cook, feeling confident to substitute ingredients, not measuring everything meticulously...I mean how big is a glug, a shake, a pinch?

The few months after filming didn't give me many opportunities for invitations, diaries were booked with Christmas parties and meals, but after that I was able to cook more.

I have cooked for Dad again, and did an afternoon tea for the girls and once I manage to get my sisters all-together again I am going to cook them lunch (and I'm really looking forward to it!)

My confidence with cooking is growing. I have explained to people the reason for my presence on your show, which has surprised most people, but hopefully has also made them more understanding.

I am a little concerned however, that once the programme is aired, there will be a queue around the block of all those people who have unconditionally entertained me over the years!
