Broadcasting House Spoon Competition
Terms and conditions
1. The BBC Code of Conduct for competitions can be found at the competition code webpage.
2. The competition is open to all residents of the UK, including the Channel Islands, except BBC employees and anyone connected with the competition.
3. Entry to the competition is by e-mailing the programme directly at bh@bbc.co.uk or via the contact page. The closing time for receipt of entries is the end of the BH paper review at approximately 9.55am. No entries received after that time will be considered. Entries cannot be returned. Full details of opening and closing times will be given on air.
4. All entrants must supply their names and addresses and daytime telephone number. The BBC will only ever use personal details for the purposes of administering this competition, and will not publish them or provide them to anyone without permission. You can read more about the BBC Privacy Policy.
5. A number representing a minute of the open entry window will be selected by the production team using a random number generator. The correct entry received closest to that minute (using the email time and date stamps) shall be the winner.
6. The prize consists of a jam/honey/wooden spoon (or similar).
7. The prize is as stated. There is no cash alternative and it is not transferable.
8. The BBC's decision as to the winner is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.
9. The winner will be notified within seven days of the close of the competition by post/telephone/email.
10. Only one entry is allowed per entrant.
11. Entrants must agree to take part in any post-competition publicity.
12. The BBC reserves the right to cancel or alter or amend the competition at any stage (including these Terms), if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside of its control.
13. If the winner is unable to be contacted the BBC reserves the right to either offer the prize to a runner up, or to re-offer the prize in any future BBC competition.
14. This competition is run by the BBC. The applicable law is that of England and Wales.
