About Richard
The Rev Richard Coles hosts Saturday Live on BBC Radio 4 with Aasmah Mir, where they tell extraordinary stories with remarkable people.
As well as being a Church of England vicar, the Rev Richard Coles is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, playing the saxophone, clarinet and keyboards. You might also know him as one half of the The Communards (the other half being Jimmy Somerville). The pop duo teamed up in the '80s, scoring several top ten hits and a number one single with "Don't Leave Me This Way".
The Rev has been a regular across BBC Radio and TV for a number of years.
He was an inspiration and adviser to the BBC Two sitcom Rev, narrated the Style Council's film Jerusalem (1987) and even won Celebrity Mastermind in 2014.
