Episode synopses Episode 1
Over a term, a documentary crew films the everyday activities at Summer Heights High. Three individuals stand out: Mr G is an ego-driven drama teacher on a mission to change the face of drama education; Ja'mie King is a bitchy private schoolgirl on a student exchange, set to make her mark; Jonah Takalua is a mischievous schoolboy from Tonga with the odds stacked against him. Episode 2 Mr G takes over the drama department, naming himself the Director of Performing Arts, and causes chaos at the school. Ja'mie has her first day at Summer Heights High, joining the popular group and assaulting them with her views on public education. Jonah finds it difficult to stick to his Polynesian Pathways contract but reveals his secret desire to learn how to read.
