Euro 2008 Autumn Qualifiers
England resume their Euro 2008 qualifying campaign this autumn, with four home games
out of their remaining five left to play. Only the top two teams go through to the next stage
of the tournament and England cannot afford to drop any more points in their quest to
qualify for the finals.
All four of England's home games will be shown live and exclusive on BBC One. Their
opening match is against Israel in September and will be the first competitive game at the
redeveloped Wembley. England then take on Estonia, Russia and Croatia in what will prove
to be a crucial final series of matches.
The Match Of The Day team, including Gary Lineker, Alan Hansen, Alan Shearer and Mark
Lawrenson, will provide expert analysis and comment on all the action on the field, as well
as results and updates from other key matches across Europe.

world of sport.

the sportsman or woman whose actions have most captured the public's imagination over
the past year. Viewers can vote for their Sports Personality by phone and text message.
Last year's winner was equestrian World Champion Zara Phillips. Early front runners this
year include Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton and tennis star Andy Murray.
Other hotly contested awards to be presented include Team Of The Year and Overseas

of sport.
Once again, members of the public will be able to attend the event which, this year, will be
