The Regulars
Noreen Kershaw plays Phyllis, the unflappable desk Sergeant
Phyllis is on the front line when it comes to slinging suspects in the cells. She is a no nonsense lady who, if she lived in 2006, would probably be described as a ballbreaker. But in these times of overt sexism and bum pinching, Phyllis can give as good as she gets and demands the respect of her male colleagues
Noreen has had a varied career in film, TV and theatre. Audiences will recognise her from Peak Practice but she has also appeared in shows as varied as Watching, Young Indy, Alan Bleasdale's Jake's Progress, Coronation Street and Albion Market.
Tony Marshall plays Nelson, the barman who is all ears
Nelson is the ‘Jamaican' bartender at the CID's local but only Sam knows his secret – he is as Mancunian as they come. Nelson is the man people go to for a drink and a chat. He offers his words of wisdom to an increasingly troubled Sam and acts as his sound board for his theories as to how and why he has ended up in this alien world.
Tony is best known for playing Diesel in BBC drama The Preston Front but has appeared in many well known TV shows such as Judge John Deed, Wing and a Prayer, The Queen's Nose and Only Fools and Horses.
