W zdaniu tym występuje tzw. zerowy okres warunkowy. Właściwie nie stawiamy tutaj żadnego warunku, ale coś proponujemy. Jest to forma uprzejmej propozycji.

If oznacza tutaj in case – (w razie) gdyby, jeśli, jak. W obu częściach zdania (po if i bez if) występuje czasownik w formie podstawowej.
