Logging on, logging off V1: Hey, what's the matter? Looks like you're having problems. V2: It's this website. I come here every week, but now for some reason it won't let me log in. V1: Have you checked your password? V2: Oh, that's it! I changed my password last week. Thanks! When you log in – or log on, you need to type in your user name or your login name. Sometimes it’s called user ID or login ID – don’t worry, it means the same. But that’s not all - you need a password, too. Most computer systems have two boxes: one for your login ID, and one where you put in your password. Logging-in gives you more security. It means that other people won't be able to read your personal records or documents. It also means that several people can safely use the same computer. But do not walk away from your computer without logging off. Other people might read your documents…. Remember to log off before you walk off!
OBJAŚNIENIA for some reason – z jakiegoś powodu it won't let me log in – nie pozwala mi się wlogować (mówiąc o 'złośliwości rzeczy martwych' często używamy wyrażenia it won't – np. it won't work – nie działa; it won't start – nie chce ruszyć/zapalić itd.) user name = login name = user ID = login ID - nazwa użytkownika, identyfikator uzytkownika ID = Identification Code Test yourself, use our quiz! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
