Public Holiday: Federal goment declare Thursday, Friday public holiday for Sallah 2020 Eid-el-Kabir

Federal Goment don declare Thursday 30 and Friday 31 July, 2020 as Public Holidays to mark dis year's Eid-el-Kabir Celebration.

Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola wey declare di holiday on behalf of di Nigerian goment, also send congratulobia to Muslim faithful and all Nigerians both at home and abroad on di occasion of di Eid fitr 2020 Sallah.

Oga Aregbesola call on di Muslims to continue to embrace spirit of love, peace, kindness and sacrifice, as di way di Holy Prophet Muhammad show im followers and to also use di period to pray for peace, unity, prosperity and di stability of Nigeria especially as world pipo dey witness global health challenges wey di Covid-19 pandemic don cause.

Eid el Kabir na big feast wey Muslims dey celebrate every year to mark di end of Hajj. And as di Sultan don declare, dis year Eid-el-Kabir celebration go happun on Friday, July 31 and Monday, August 1.

But public celebration no go happun to mark dis year Eid-el-Kabir for Muslims for some states like Kano, north west of Nigeria afta authorities ban celebrations for di state.

Di state commissioner of information, Muhammad Garba say di reason for di ban na to stop di spread of COVID-19.
