Rivers state govnor Nyesom Wike don 'rescue' former MD of di Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Joy Nunieh from her house wia 'armed security' bin surround.
Dr. Joi Nunueih tell local TV station Arise TV say na around 4am on Thursday 16 July, 2020 morning naim security agents surround her house come knock her door. When she ask dem wetin make dem come and if dem get warrant of arrest, dem no gree tok so she bang di door against dem and dem begin try to force dia way into di house
Nunieh say she bin dey inside di house until Govnor Wike come carry her comot.
"Wen I open di door to tok to dem, I ask dem can I see your warrant of arrest?,
"Dem start to dey try to break di door... but fortunately di governor come rescue me", she tok.

Dis wan dey happun as Nunieh bin suppose go Abuja to appear before di House of Representatives Committee in Abuja today.
Nunieh add she bin dey ready to catch di first flight to Abuja wia she suppose appear before di Senate Committee wey dey probe di NDDC but sake of di security agents, she no fit comot.
Dr. Nunuiah say she call di Rivers State Commissioner of Police Joseph Mukan, ask am why security dey her house but im say im sef no know why dem dey her house.

Inside statement Rivers State goment release afta di incident, Wike call on those wey dey involved for di ongoing investigation for di NDDC to make sure say nothing happun to Nunieh.
"We wish to state categorically say di Rivers State Government no go ever support any action wey go prevent or jeopardize the laudable intentions of His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, to positively reposition di NDDC and fulfill di yearnings and aspirations of di pipo of di Niger Delta.
However, we wish to state dat while we no dey interested in identifying with di present unfolding drama for di NDDC, we no go fail to protect our daughter from actual harm or perceived danger." di statement tok.
