Comrade Ali Walih na chairmo for Partners for Community Safety, one volunteer group wey dey Kano wey dey take covid 19 sensitization to villages and e tell BBC say e dey pain am whenever e meet villagers wey neva hear of di disease.

Comrade Ali say dem don visit Dawakin Kudu, Dawakin Tofa and Kumbotso villages and dey plan to visit more for Kano and for many of di villagers, na dem first bring news of di disease to dem.

"E dey pain me wella anytime me and my pipo enter villages and na we be di first to tell dem about coronavirus physically, some hear about am for radio while some neva even hear at all. Dis na something wey don destabilise di whole world."

"Wetin we dey do for villagers na to teach dem how properly wash dia hands and to dey give space and also avoid public gatherings."

Di chairmo say dem also tok to di village heads on how to handle dia pipo wey dey travel go cities for work or trade and come back to di village.

"We dey tell di village heads say anytime one of dia pipo come back from city, make dem make am isolate for two weeks first before dem go allow am mix with pipo."

Comrade Ali say goment suppose chook hand for dis mata, make dem organise groups like dia own wey go dey enter villages tok to pipo about covid 19.

Yakubu Audu wey be villager for Bagwai local goment for Kano tell BBC say e know about di disease based on wetin radio pipo dey tok but dem no get wetin dem go use protect themselves.

"For start, we no even get drinking water talk less of water wey we go use wash our hands, from wia we go get dat one? My wife just give brith yesterday and uptil now i neva give her anything and dem say make we stay for house."

Anoda villager Barau Ibrahim say e dey hear about covid 19 for radio and e dey try do everything wey professionals dey advise, to dey wash hands and avoid public gatherings.
