For her Vlog wit Toke Moments on YouTube on Thursday, 14 August, di popular media personality and entrepreneur bin carry her fans through di journey of how God fulfil her greatest desire – wey be to become mama.

Ms Makinwa wey pipo sabi well as Toke tok say one of her greatest wish wen she dey about to turn 40-years-old na to become a mother and marriage, but e no work out as she wish.

She say to achieve dis desire, she do many tins wey she neva do bifor. "I join Halleluyah Challenge, I don do am bifor, I do am again wit faith. I sowed, I do tins wey I neva do bifor, I take sometin wey dey precious to me and I sow am to Halleluyah challenge. My own journey don become transactional wit God, I go through di year trying to become a mom, I try twice and e no hapun. I launch TM beauty for di middle of depression. I dey laugh, dey jump, but my soul dey empty."

She say afta di second IVF fail, she bin enta depression, she stop to dey pray and she cancel all di plans for her 40th birthday and she throw hersef into work.

"I dey live for Abuja at di time but I dey shoot BBNaija for Lagos. I go work all through di week for Abuja, for Friday, I go take flight go Lagos and pipo begin wonder if I dey owe house rent."

Di media personality say she bin give up on life and at one point, she bin wish to die. "I tell God to call me home. I don try, wit my small life, I don achieve tins wey me sef no ever believe say I fit achieve." Wetin pipo dey see outside na successful career lady, pesin wey get evrytin togeda, but wetin pipo no know be say, she dey empty."

Turning point

Toke say her turning point na one day wen she hear one voice wen she dey her room, "Time na concept wey I own and you no fit wrestle am out of me." She say wen she hear dat word, she know say na God speak to her. She find hersef begin dey pray again, and tell God say I no wan dey transactional relationship wit you, I just wan serve you, live life and be happy.

She begin plan her birthday again and do dat thanksgiving service wey everybody see. Di thanksgiving suppose be announcement say she dey expect her baby, but wen e no hapun, she still thank God.

For October, her doctor say make she try again. She bin get doubt but she make up her mind say whatever di outcome be, she no go dey sad.

For November, doctor give her di good news, at di age of 40, one month afta her birthday as she desire am.

Who be Toke Makinwa

Ms Makinwa wey pipo sabi well-well as Toke na pesin of many parts. Ova di years, pipo don know her as television host, actress, brand influencer, Vlogger, businesswoman, author and as a radio presenter.

Toke wey bin don work for several radio stations say she gain popularity for 2014 as di host of one radio morning show programme for Rhythm FM.

She rise from being a radio host to become one of di most influential female voices for Africa media, as she hold her space for di entertainment and fashion sector.
