Di Metropolitan Police don charge ogbonge actor and comedian Russell Brand wit rape, indecent assault and sexual assault between 1999 and 2005.
Di charges dey come from four separate women.
Police don interview Oga Brand several times afta one investigation by Sunday Times, The Times and Channels 4 Dispatches for September 2023 reveal multiple serious allegations against am.

For one short statement, di Metropolitan Police tok say dem write to Brand to inform am say e dey charged wit one allegation of rape, one allegation of indecent assault, one of oral rape plus two more counts of sexual assault.
According to di force, e dey alleged say:
- For 1999 one-woman dey raped for Bournemouth area.
- For 2001 one-woman bin dey indecently assaulted for Westminster area of London.
- For 2004 one-woman bin dey orally raped and sexually assaulted for Westminster area of London.
- Between 2004 and 2005, one woman bin dey sexually assaulted for Westminster area of London.
Dem tell Oga Brand to come Westminster Magistrates Court on 2 May, but tori be say e dey United States.
For dis situations, wen a suspect dey abroad, prosecutors dey agree to wait for di defendant return. If cooperation no come dey from di suspect, authorities go den consider seeking extradition.

"We don conclude say make dem charge Russell Brand wit offences including rape, sexual assault and indecent assault. Dis relate to reported non-recent offences between 1999 and 2005, involving four women.
"Di Crown Prosecution Service remind everyone say criminal proceedings dey active, and di defendant get di right to fair trial. E dey extremely important say no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online, dis fit prejudice dis proceedings."
Di Metropolitan Police detective superintendent Andy Furphy, wey dey lead di investigation, tok say: "Di women wey make di reports continue to receive support from specially trained officers.
"Di Met investigation remain open and detectives ask anyone wey don dey affected by dis case, or anyone wey get any information, to come forward and tok to police. One dedicated team of investigators dey available via email at [email protected].
