Court issue Form 48 against pro Wike lawmakers as FCT minister, Sim Fubara fight take new dimension

On Thursday di Federal High Court for Port Harcourt issue Form 48 against di Martin Amaewhule and im deputy Dumle Maol for contempt of court. Both man na members of a faction of di state Assembly.

Di issuance of Form 48 dey follow one application wey Ehie Edison – leader of anoda faction - of di Rivers State House of Assembly make say Amaewhule and Maol disobey di order of di Court on 9th November 2023.

Di court for suit number FHC/PH/CS/240/2023 bin order di parties say make dem no do anytin concerning di subject matter of di suit wey dey bifor di court.

But on Monday di Assembly under Amaewhule bin sit for di Assembly complex under alleged police coverage and deliberate on several issues.

Edison accuse Amaewhule say e invade di Rivers State House of Assembly and hold a sitting of di House in violation of di order of di court for parties to maintain status quo.

Sake of dis, di court enter Form 48 titled ‘Notice of Consequences of Disobedience of Order of Court’, dated November 22, 2023, and signed by di Registrar of di Federal High Court, Port Harcourt Judicial Division.

Di notice wey dey issued for di case presided over by Justice Phoebe Ayua cut warning say di defendants go dey liable to be committed to prison unless dem obey di order of di Court and maintain di status quo.
