CP Okolo say on 8 December 2020, dem kidnap one 48 year old Oladele Olushola, wey be bank manager for im house for Opolo and release am 12 December 2020 after dem pay a ransom of Eighty (N80) Million Naira.

Also, dem kidnap one 41 years old Danjuma Omeje manager of one new generation Bank for Yenagoa from im house for Okaka, Yenagoa, on 30th July 2022, and release am on 14th July 2022 after dem collect ransom of 60 million naira. Thirty (N30) Million Naira cash and US Dollar equivalent of Thirty (N30) Million Naira.

E say Operatives of Operation Restore Peace through investigate arrest some suspects; one of dem na 37 years old native of Azuzuama Community, Southern Ijaw LGA, wey be di alleged leader of the kidnapping gang.

E allegedly dey operate im kidnapping camp at Sunikiri creek near Oluasiri for Nembe Local Goment Area with im second in command one wey run away.

E say dem allegedly carry di kidnap victim to im camp for Sunikiri Oluasiri, and release am on 14th July 2022 after dem collect N60 million ransom.

Di suspect also allegedly confess to di kidnap of anoda banker and a lady wey dem kidnap on 26th December 2015, as well as di kidnap of oda Igbo business men.

CP Okolo add say one of di suspects, wey dem arrest for Abuja na native of Eruan Community in Boki LGA, Cross River State, na former cleaner with one new generation Bank, an e confess say e collect Ten (10) Thousand US Dollars from di ransom money dem collect from di kidnap of Danjuma Omeje.
