"TCN Management go like to reiterate say no system collapse dis year and on di 12th of February 2025, wen di Omotosho-Ikeja West 330kV transmission line trip, di Benin-Egbin 330kV line dey on schedule outage for mechanical line tracing. Di tripping result in outage, causing loss of supply within Abuja, Lagos, and Osogbo axis."

"Di Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO) inform di general public say di national grid experience system disturbance at 11:20 hrs on 10/09/2025," di statement tok.
"Na tripping from one GenCo cause di disturbance, resulting in high load drop, which cascaded to oda GenCos, leading to system disturbance."
"NISO immediately start restoration of di grid at 11:45 hrs, beginning wit supply to Abuja from di Shiroro power plant, and we don achieve some restoration across di country.
"Full investigation into di immediate and remote causes dey underway. Di outcome of di investigation report go determine di proactive actions wey go carry out to stop future occurrences."
