Students sue federal goment

Meanwhile, di Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) and five university students don sue President Muhammadu Buhari before di National Industrial Court and dem dey seek order to compel di federal goment to honour di agreement dem reach with ASUU.

  • Determine weda ASUU members dey entitled to emolument or “strike pay” during di period of di current strike in view of di national law.
  • Determine weda ASUU get right to embark on strike over disputes as dem dey compel di federal goment to deploy di University Transparency and Accountability Solution (UTAS) developed by ASUU for di payment of dia members as against di Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) wey di federal goment dey use for payment of wages of all her employees.
