Chima Ikwunado: Four Ex-policemen accused for Chima Ikwunado murder don plead not guilty
Di ex-policemen Ayogu Fidelis, Eke Chibuzor, Egbunefu Felix and Rose Georgewill plead not guilty to di one count charge of torture and murder of Chima Ikwunado within di period of 19 to 23 December 2019 wen dem bin dey for di Eagle Crack unit of the Mile One Police Station for Port Harcourt.
Dem also plead not guilty to di five count charges of intent to maim, conspiracy to unlawfully cause bodily harm to Ifeanyi Onyekwere, Osaze Friday, Ogbonna Victor and Ifeanyi Osuji wen dem bin dey di office of Eagle Crack unit of Mile One Police Station for 19 to 23 December, 2019.
As di trial wan start, di lawyers to di four ex-policemen raise objection say di all di documents wey di prosecution wan use, no dey among di processes wey di prosecution file give dem so dem no go fit proceed wit di trial as e no go give di defence beta opportunity to do dia work.

In response, di trial judge, Justice Florence Fiberesima, rule make di State prosecution give all di documents wey dey relevant to di case to di lawyers of defendants.Di accused pesins dey remanded for di custody of Special Anti-Robbery Squad SARS as di state Correctional Centre no dey take inmates sake of di Covid-19 pandemic.
Court adjourn di case to 20 October.
