Kenneth Alan Taylor is a name synonymous with pantos in Nottingham, Beauty and the Beast is his 19th at the Playhouse.

Beauty and the Beast is not one of the more traditional pantomimes.

For the forthcoming show he had to invent a dame, however he was pleasantly surprised that the original text of Beauty and the Beast had two ugly sisters, not dissimilar to another famous panto.

Unlike other productions Kenneth doesn't rely on former soap stars to draw in the crowds.

He prefers to spend the budget on costumes and set design, believing reputation is enough to bring in the crowds.

You cannot argue with a man who's pantomimes continue to sell out year on year.

What's the story?
Set fairytale France, packed full of fun, laughter and romance.

The story of Belle and her family has all the ingredients which make pantomimes so enchanting.

The Playhouse will not disappoint, look out for amazing sets, dramatic costumes and a host of musical numbers.

The Playhouse have said Beauty & the Beast will be their most spectacular pantomime yet, if that's true then we're in for a treat.
