| | Girls be warned - You are about to be upstaged - Drag cabaret is setting up camp in the city. |
 | | | On Thursday, 15th May 2003 Nottingham's first permanent drag cabaret venue opens.
Cabaret promises to add further choice to the city's already burgeoning nightlife, offering three nights of drag and the chance to be serenaded by a Las Vegas style crooner every week.
 | | Juicy Lucy wiggles her hips. She says her best feature is her long legs! | The club's owner, Johnny Moore, from Newark, believes the venue is offering the city something new: "The club's a first of its kind in Nottingham. It's different. It's unique."
Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday Juicy Lucy, Raunchy Rusty and Pussy Galore will strut their stuff in the Slinky Minky Show.
The female impersonator show will take you on a whistle-stop tour through the highs and lows of the world’s best shows.
Another regular night will be Cabaret Goes Vegas. This show will feature Wayne Kennedy, who'll be crooning around the tables in his dickie bow every Wednesday night.
This night will be perfectly in keeping with the venue's dapper renovation. Crimson velvet adorns the floors, walls and chairs whilst the chandeliers winkle above each table.

Regulars will be pleased to hear that the venue is keeping its most popular night - the Just The Tonic Comedy night.
A recently published travel guide, the Lonely Planet, describes Nottingham's nightlife as one of the liveliest in the country.
This venue promises to increase the variety of choice in Nottingham and this can only be a good thing. | | | |
