Pearl Harbor I loved it. I thought that it was an amazing movie. It all just seemed to be so real.I love romances, but I also love war movies as well so it was good for me to watch. It is a bit sad,it is sure to bring a tear to your eye(it brought alot to mine). But it is also quite funny,it's got little parts that just make you giggle. All on all it was very good and it is know on my favourite movies list, which only has the best movies in it,so it has to be good.I would give it 9.5/10 Rebekah Sudran Perth,W.A.Australia PEARL HARBOR IS THE BEST FILM OUT SO FAR, IT'S REALLY GREAT AND JOSH HARTNETT IS SO CUTE. We Were Soldiers Although it is said that the film is based on true story but I found many things that is not true. First, at the time, the flag of North Vietnam was not all the red. It was half blue, half red with the yellow star in the center. Second, army of North Vietnam also called Viet Cong did not used to dress like in those scenes. In this period, they did not have enough equipment etc. that was the reason why they had to fight as guerillas, especially in mountainous areas like Tay Ninh and Ia Drang Valley. Therefore, there could not be a massive soldiers like we saw in the movie. However in the movie this battle took play in Ia Drang Valley so it can not be truth. Third, about the uniform and weapon of North Vietnam Army. I know that their soldiers always dress in green uniform. Otherwise, where could they get so many AK47. The last thing is in my opinion Vietnamese are not so stupid like in that movie. They all ran straight to enemy's guns without firing. I can not believe that it is a true story. It can not be what it is said: HISTORY. Mathew James Lister New York, USA What do you think Read our review of this film |
Don't Say A Word This thriller starring Michael Douglas was quite confusing and disjointed at the beginning with first a well organised and timed bank heist to steal a priceless red diamond. The bank robbers split up afterwards with two guys making off with the gem leaving the other three gnashing their teeth which Sean Bean as top robber does so well. So far, so good. Then Michael Douglas comes into the frame as the child-friendly psychiatrist with the perfect family who is imexplicably asked by a colleague to treat a seriously disturbed teen girl on thanksgiving day. His young daughter is then kidnapped that night by the 3 empty-handed bank robbers (who have since done a stretch in gaol). To get her back Douglas must try to extract a certain number from the teen girl which will lead the robbers to the hidden gem. Of course, Douglas saves the day but not before a pretty gruesome ending for Sean Bean! Lucy Bostock Derby, England What do you think Read our review of this film |
Bridget Jones's Diary Fantastic !!!!!!! Everyone was great especially Rene Zellweger so funny to watch!!!!! Colin Firth of course was handsome with intense eyes...but no one can take the place of Hugh Grant in comedy or looks. The movie was great entertainment and I enjoyed it immensely. Dawn PBG/FL/USA I watched this movie on the plane. And I must say I was unabashed in laughing out loud and shed a tear or two. I love the character of Mark Darcy. Tina, Singapore Having been sent a copy of the book to read, I must admit I was sceptical about viewung the film. Well putting hugh grant was good. Putting COLIN FIRTH was brilliant. too old to be a groupie , but please let him join my ranks of the sexiest, understated, intelligent woman's star.I thought his performance in Pride & prejudice was the definitive Mr Darcy of Jane Austen. Now this WOOOOW!!! I have gone through the archives(thanks to bbc , he has one) and will now catch up an all his other roles. I wish him all the success across the Atlantic. Finally , he has come out from hiding. petra trinidad, Caribbean It is a favorite favorite movie. DVD is released also in Japan on April 5, 2002. It has already reserved. The cast was also good for the highest. And I am Hugh Grant's fan. Happiness is felt very much only by seeing his smiling face and performance. And this bridget Jones's diary was very likable. It is the movie which should be loved even if it sees how many times. Lord of the Rings I think it deserves 10 out of 5 another words the best of the best. Besides I haven't got an obsession I just fell in love with Orlando Bloom, now I know that love at first sight realy exists. Hannah Victoria Hall Cardiff I don't know wich of the 2 books is the best but i'm sure the best movie is the lord of the rings. harry potter deceive me a little bit. But for the lord of the rings it,s like the book except for Tom bombadil.(He missed me a lot!!!) Excuse me for the errors i'm french!!! anne-élAINE France I think 'Lord of the Rings' is the best film ever made! I have now seen it 6 times and it just gets better every time. I am glad that they didn't pick all the huge movie stars to play the parts (e.g. Brad Pitt, Julia Robert, although Brad might look good with long blond hair and pointy ears!!!) The best actors in the film are Orlando Bloom (great actor, gorgeous looks), Billy Boyd (What about elevensies, luncheon, dinner supper?) and Aragorn (You have my sword). Elven Princess Mirkwood, Middle-earth Lord of the Rings is the best movie out there, haha. iTS THE BEST BEST BEST BEST ABSOLUTE BEST! Black Hawk Down Ridley Scott surpasses himself directing his recreation of the chaos and carnage that ensued in Mogadishu in 1992 when the Americans yet again do what they do best: send your finest, bravest countrymen, full of good intentions into someone elses war, and then sit back helpless as they get ground into offal. Distressing & horific, BHD is not entertainment, more something you must see to try and obtain some sense from the senselessness of war. Makes 'Saving Private Ryan' & 'Pearl Harbor' look like a load of sentimental toss. See it. ***** Robert Price Caerphilly, South Wales This film was great i felt sorry for the two sinpers that went to help because they got killed. but great film 10/10

Lord of the Rings I thought that it was great! The graphics were exellent and i was on the edge of my seat throughout the whole film. I am amazed at how good it is and am glad it beat Mr.Potter. The actors were brilliant. All in all the film was superb, exellent and i wouldn't say NO to seeing it again! Michaela Birmingham, England. I feel, watching Lord of the Rings and reading the book, it is a confusing story, and should therefore be rated as a 12. Although the story is made of fantasty for adults and younger children, it can be quite scary. Please tell me why this film is possibly under rated and why this has occured to me within various other films, using over ratings and under ratings. Thankyou

Captain Corelli's Mandolin The book was a marvellous read, as well as being an absolute eye opener about history of the Greek occupation by fascist forces. Such a tragedy in terms of the loss of human life. Very sad. It was difficult for me to remain objective about the characters, and not believe them to have been very real. Lord of the Rings I went to see the lord of the rings on saturday and i dont usually like those kind of things when i started watching it i was thoroughly impressed with it never before have i seen such a fantastic film a sheer marvel if you like this kind of film you'll love it like star wars only much, much better this is definitely going to become a classic and i would go and see it again. Russell Brown Radford, Nottingham, England Pretty cool and agree with your reviews. The way the characters were done was fantastic. I came out of the cinema picking holes in most parts of the film but to tell the truth I enjoyed myself for three hours. Definitely better than Harry Potter, but my third favourite film this year after Ginger Snaps and Brotherhood of The Wolf. Looking forward to the next two Christmas' though. Paul Sims Lincoln Excellent interpretation. A certain amount of poetic licence used which missed out a few characters ie Tom Bombadil and a few events (especially at the beginning). I did feel though if you haven't read the books (why not!) then you may have trouble following the films events. But that is just a minor carp. The 8 year old limit should be higher, some kids may be a bit scared in a few places ie when any one came under influence of the ring - well it scared me! All that apart stunning scenery and effects - the hobbits really do look small. Oscar for Ian Mcellan? Alan Barton Nottingham What do you think

Bridget Jones's Diary Colin Firth in Bridget Jones's Diary was amazing- I fell in love with him at once!!!!! Amy London I am a teen and i saw Pride and Prejudice for the 1st time last year(2001) He's so good! He's such a good actor, perfect for the part of a I think that Colin Firth is better in frills that in his reindeer jumper, though, his reindeer jumper is very nice. It's just a shame that he's way out of me age range, and of coarse Married, but i'm still allowed to dream! Day dreaming Herts This film gives hope to women everywhere. Finally, a film that applauds a normal woman-not women as Bridget so aptly calls "stick-insects". Renee Zellwegger was perfect for the role-she suited it to a tee. It was my first introduction to Colin Firth who steals the show from Hugh Grant, I must say. His charm recalled Cary Grant-see the kitchen scene where he refers to "Blue Soup". His charm is overwhelming. I had to see Pride and Prejudice and now I really am smitten. I can't wait for the sequel "The Edge of Reason"-to see more Firth. Be still my heart. Michele MacDonald Miramar, FL USA I first saw Colin Firth in "Shakespeare in Love" and I thought he was fat...but now I found out he's not...ok...then... Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back They should have left this film in the toilet where it belongs. It was embarrassing to sit in front of that huge screen and see and hear what was going on. Dracula 2001 We thought it was a really good film, taking the Dracula legend into new and well thought out realms. Too much emphasis on sex and fangs of course, but that's for those who expect that of a vampire flick. The base story was good. 10/10. Many cinemas in UK didn't show and many video stockists aren't going to sell it. Conspiracy or corporate sabotage? What do you think

Harry Potter HARRY POTTER IS EXCELLENT!!!! Caroline Swindon Harry Potter is so cool! It was so amzing the way the film seemed to come alive and bring you into the film itself. I especially liked the quiditch match against slytherin. My favourite characters are Dumbledore, Harry, Hermione, Ron, Hagrid and Hedwig. If I ever got the chance to do be in the Harry Potter, which i would love to do, as it is my ambition i would like to be Hermione or someone playing quiditch. I give Harry Potter 5/5 or 100% excellent! Laura Evers Peterborough I took my grand daughter to see harry potter, she is seven years old she loved it to bits. I thought it to be a good film with the special effects, but it also seemed that there had been some bad editing cuts to it. What made me come to that conclusion were the consistency in parts of the music,ie abruptly cut short. Like i say good film but lot too much HYPE. I have not read the book, but by all impressions of people who have they may find that they have been let down slightly by ths film. My score out of ten has to be SIX. Steve Hobbs Nottingham Best film ever 10 out of ten. Mick Willmott Nottinghamshire I can't wait to see it again. It's even better than the book. Lee Mansfield Woodhouse It was a very long film but I wasn't bored at all even if my little brother did wriggle about. I love Ron Weasley. Kylie Sunderland It was amazing. Harry is soooooo coooool.

Ginger Snaps This movie was *wicked*. It's not like other werewolf movies, when the person immediately becomes the wolf. It kept the suspence going all through the movie and wouldn't let me take my eyes off the screen for a second. Perkins and Isabelle were amazing and really played their parts well. The gore was just the right amount to seem not overdone (in my opinion, 'cause I love the gore) and the actual werewolf was terrifying. It's so hard to find good werewolves these days. All in all, a truly amazing werewolf movie. Darlean Corpus Christi, Texas What do you think

Bridget Jones's Diary I believe I may be the only one here who has watched the movie 30 times already. This is one movie I will always have the hots for. Sometimes, after a long day's work, I watch it. When friends come over, we watch it. It is just the best! I already have a copy, but have joined a contest to get another, clearer copy! The movie just gets to all those women who get scrutinized for how their lives wound up/ how they choose to live their lives. It's a movie about getting on with life, having fun amidst all the problems and trials that come along the way. All my thumbs up for this one! By the way, became an extremely devoted Colin Firth and Renee Zellwegger fan after this.... To the producers, please make the sequel as soon as possible. And please, please, keep the cast... Cecil Quezon City/ Philippines I love you, Colin (And Hugh of course!) ME Hello¡ I read the book and i saw the movie two times. I think is great¡ I have fun so much. The actors are fantastics, specially colin Firth. you could tell me something about him?Sorry, but i can·t speak english very well.
Carmen González Almeria/Spain Absolute delight. Bravo to Renee Zelweger you did a fine job indeed. And I really think the part of Mark Darcy was written for Colin Firth (the undisputed Mr. Darcy -himself), no one else could play the role with such understated brilliance, and just plain sex appeal. Yummy!!! And Hugh Grant was simply Hugh Grant. The trio of Bridgets' closet friends were hilarious. I laughed my head off and fell in love at the same time!! What a delicious combination, may have a sequel please!!! Heidi Johnstone Los Angeles, CA, USA What do you think

Lara Croft Personally, I thought it was a good replacement to Indiana Jones, with Chris Barry, Rimmer from Red Dwarf stealing those brilliant one liners. Yes it did remind me of a Doctor Who story with Paul McGann as lead role, or was it ham, (if they kept it to two hours it may have worked), I'm just curious if a sequel will appear? Now how about Chris Barry as the next Doctor Who?
