Why is it you can't just have one film on a certain theme. I can't believe all those Hollywood script writers individually think up similar stories at the same time.

However, following on from Billy Elliot, Centre Stage and, just a couple of weeks ago, Born Romantic, comes yet another dance film.

Save The Last Dance is not going to set the world on fire.

Don't look at me. I don't know who had the glue.

Its central theme of insecure, fairly well-off white girl hoping dance will bring her out of herself, is hardly earth shattering.

That she deveolps a relationship with a black kid who just happens to be a great mover, is also nothing new.

So what redeeming factors does Save The Last Dance have? Julia Stiles is good as is the dancing. Err, well, what more do you want!
