Episode 01
The Bookworms Move House
The Bookworms have made a mess of Potto's library and he decides that they should be relocated. Driven by the query "Why do birds live in nests?" Hilda visits a child from the traveller community, and explores the question of what makes a place feel like a home.

Episode 02
Food for Thought
Potto has invented a machine that goes ludicrously fast! In search of the right fuel, Potto and Hilda decide to feed crisps into the machine, only to discover that it won't run on crisps at all. The question, "Why can't I eat crisps for every meal?" leads Hilda to a Farmer's Market, where she learns about how many delicious and healthy foods there are to eat.

- the importance of keeping healthy and how to keep safe in familiar and unfamiliar environments.
Episode 03
Booga Granny Hare!
Hilda needs Potto’s help to write a speech honouring Great Granny Hare, but Granny Hare only speaks Hare, and Potto doesn’t speak Hare at all. When the question comes in, "Why does my friend Luka speak one language at school and a different one at home?"

Episode 04
The Share Necessities
After a disagreement, Potto and Hilda decide to split up the Sesame Tree. Just as they’ve finished making a line down the centre of the Tree, a question comes in, "Why do we have to share?" Hilda goes to visit quintuplets to find the answer.

Episode 05
Big Hare Day
Hilda’s got on special clothes to celebrate Big Hare Day, when the question comes in: "Why do we have special clothes for special days?" To answer the question, Hilda visits a young boy preparing to participate in a marching band. Hilda and Potto realize that special clothes make you feel special, and they make everyone else feel special too.
