Oxford Island Reserve
As Northern Ireland's Breathing Places Community for 2009, Craigavon Borough Council planted trees at two locations on Saturday 5th December.
Fifteen very muddy volunteers helped plant 402 trees at Oxford Island Nature Reserve and 230 trees were planted by 20 volunteers at Lurgan Park.
Hugh Thompson from Craigavon Borough Council said it was great to have the chance to improve the biodiversity of native tree species in the woodland. "I enjoyed having the opportunity to improve the nature reserve and would like to come along to future events."
