Falls Park

The young members of the Ulster Wildlife Trust's 'Watch this Space' Saturday Club had a very successful hour of activity and planted 125 native trees at the Falls Park.

They were assisted by some local members of the community who all joined in to break their own target of 100 trees planted in an hour. Lucille Coates from the Ulster Wildlife Trust said "The Tree O'clock event was a great success in Falls Park.

The children, mums, dads and youth groups turned up and got stuck in - not even the mud could stop them! Thanks to Belfast City Council we had plenty of spades and a kind donation of trees kept everyone busy."
