Baronscourt

Baronscourt near Newtownstewart is home to the Duke and Duchess of Abercorn. 18 volunteers turned out to plant an amazing 700 trees inside one hour! Young and old came out on a cold and very muddy clearing to ‘do their One Thing’ for nature.

Thanks to the generosity of the Duke and Duchess, this land will now become a new BBC Pushkin wood; somewhere that everyone can visit and enjoy a true ‘breathing place’ for years to come.

Alan Boyd, from the Pushkin Trust said:
“The activity connected completely with the Trust’s work as an educational charity which helps children and adults to express their creative voice through the senses, using the natural world and the arts.”
