THE CHILDRENS' HOSPICE

The Childrens' Hospice in Newtownabbey, County Antrim does important work for the families of sick children.

PROJECT INFORMATION

Having secured money for the Breathing Places Fund to create a Breathing Place at the Hospice, The Penny Black Club have been working hard all year to create beautiful and accessible havens in the hospice grounds. Mal, Linda, Frank, and many other Royal Mail staff, have given up many hours to create these wonderful gardens from scratch.

They are now rolling up their sleeves to take on the completion of their bog garden and wildflower woodland on the Hospice Sibling Day on the 14th June. BBC Northern Ireland and BBC Breathing Places will celebrate the vision and determination of The Penny Black Club as part of the the Springwatch 2008 campaign.
