From Yellow Underwing to Frosted Orange - Londonderry goes Moth Mad

The UK and Ireland have a large population of moth varieties - thousands of them in fact - all different shapes, sizes and colours.
Many areas of Northern Ireland, especially the North West have very little data on their moth populations. Yet moths are vital to the survival of our native birdlife and wildlife.
On Friday September 18th, environmental expert, Kerry Leonard, Creggan Country Park and Derry City Council attempted to record some moth species in Derry with the help of some local people mad about moths.

Listen as Kerry Leonard and Deirdre Donnelly spend a night catching moths.
