The expansion of the European Union had brought 8000 immigrants from the new member states to Northern Ireland in 2005. But their entry into our economy wasn't an unqualified success as BBC Newsline discovered in October of that year. They followed the story of two men - a Latvian and a Lithuanian - who lost their jobs and ended up homeless in Belfast.
