New discovery reveals dogs as pets for thousands of years
Dogs are often called 'man's best friend' because of their loyalty and ability to follow human commands.
But now, some scientists say canines have been our companions far longer than previously thought - for around 15,000 years!
This follows the discovery of a bone from an ancient dog, in a cave in Somerset.
Emma Louise explains how the discovery shows that dogs and humans lived together thousands of years before farm animals or cats, and how the very first friendships between dogs and humans began.
