Behold! The new queen of the halfpipe! 17-year-old Gaon Choi from South Korea beat legendary US snowboarder Chloe Kim, to win gold in the Snowboard Women's Halfpipe despite crashing on one of her earlier runs and needing medical assistance. She quite literally got knocked down and then got back up again and won gold.

US figure skating sensation and 'quad god' Ilia Malinin made history when he performed the first legal backflip at an Olympic Games since US champion Terry Kubicka in 1976 - after which it was banned for safety reasons. Malinin also became the first to land it on only one foot at the Games.

BANANA! Tomas Guarino Sabate of Spain celebrated being able to compete in the Men Single Figure Skating with music from the Minions movie, after he almost wasn't able to.

This dazzling picture of gold-medal-winning Slovenian ski jumper Nika Prevc was taken during the Mixed Normal Hill event using a special effects camera, to make the lights look like rainbows!
