Strictly Come Dancing 2025 winner crowned

Last night Amber Davis, Karen Carney and George Clarke fought it out in the 2025 Strictly Come Dancing final.

But after 12 weeks of waltzing, jiving and trying to master the Paso Doble - who came out on top?

Well it was Former Lioness Karen Carney and her professional dance partner Carlos Gu who were crowned this years winner.

The win makes Carney the first footballer ever to lift the glitterball trophy.

Carney brought back her football-theme Jive from Week one

Each couple performed three dances during the final - one chosen by the judges, one of their favourite dances from the series and the other was a show dance.

As one of her dances Carney brought back her football-theme Jive from week one of the contest that left her at the top of the leader board, and this time round led to a standing ovation.

Whilst all three couples secured high score after high score on Saturday night, it was Carney who won the public vote - the deciding factor.

Carney looked gobsmacked to have won, saying "I literally am lost for words".

And it wasn't just an emotional night for the winners.

Co-hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman waved goodbye to the show after announcing there retirement in October.

During the broadcast they were read out special messages including one from Queen Camilla.

This was their last time presenting a Strictly final, and they were both were emotional as they signed off from hosting the show.
