Why did Rory McIlroy win?

It's fair to say Rory McIlroy has had an incredible comeback this year.
After years of near misses he won the Masters golf tournament in April, that alone is very impressive but it meant he completed a golf career Grand Slam.
That's when you win all four of the major golf championships - he's only the sixth man in history to do that.
When he picked up the award he said: "2025 has been the year I made my dreams come true."

At only 19, Michelle Agyemang was the youngest member of the Euro 2025 winning Lionesses squad, but she certainly didn't look out of place.
The superstar striker came off the bench to score goals when England really needed them, in the quarter-final against Sweden and again in the semi-final against Italy.
The Lionesses' coach Sarina Wiegman was also recognised at the awards - winning Coach of the Year.
We wonder where she is going to keep all her trophies, she's already picked up the prize for best women's coach at the Ballon d'Or awards and at the Fifa Best awards.
