It was a huge night for football as some of the biggest names in the sport hit the red carpet for the annual Fifa Best awards.

This year's glitzy ceremony took place in Qatar's capital, Doha.

The Fifa Best Awards generally cover a calendar year and are different to the Ballon d'Or awards that reflect performances across a season.

So, who were the big winners on the night? Keep reading to find out.

Paris St-Germain and France forward Ousmane Dembélé picked up men's player of the year.

He won the award after helping the French champions lift four trophies last season - including their first ever Champions League title.

He scored 35 goals across all competitions, including 21 in Ligue 1 to finish as top scorer.

Dembélé beat some huge names - including Barcelona's Lamine Yamal, and Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappé - to win the award.

It was the 28-year-old's second big individual trophy win in the past few months - after he picked up the Ballon d'Or in September.

Aitana Bonmatí was named women's player of the year at the Fifa Best Awards, for the third year in a row.

The Barcelona midfielder was an important part of the Spain team, who finished runners-up to England at Euro 2025 this summer - where she won the player of the tournament prize.

She also helped her club win the domestic treble, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists in La Liga F.

After receiving the trophy she said: "I am grateful to have the honour. If it wasn't for all the players, coaches and the fans, I would not win it - [but] I will enjoy."

Bonmatí was also awarded the women's Ballon d'Or in September, becoming the first player to win it three times - she won football's top individual prize in 2023 and 2024.

Hannah Hampton

England and Chelsea goalkeeper Hannah Hampton also won one of the big prizes of the night.

The Lioness was crowned the best goalkeeper in the women's game, having had a huge year both at club and international level.

The 25-year-old helped Chelsea win the domestic treble last season, as the west London club finished the season unbeaten in the Women's Super League.

She also started every game at Euro 2025, as England defend their European title in July.

Hampton thanked England manager Sarina Wiegman and Chelsea boss Sonia Bompastor "for the belief in me this year," as well as all the fans.

She added: "We hear you cheering every single game loud and proud and it helps push us on to go and get the win for you all. So, thank you very much."

England manager Sarina Wiegman was honoured as the best women's coach of the year, after guiding the Lionesses to their second European title over the summer.

She is the first coach to win the award five times.

Wiegman explained it was "an absolute honour to receive this award again."

She added: "Moving into 2026, let's keep pushing the women's game forward together and create an environment for every player, so they can reach their full potential."

Among others, Wiegman beat Chelsea boss Sonia Bompastor and Arsenal's Renee Slegers to the award.

Other winners on the night included Manchester City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who picked up the men's keeper award for his role in Paris St Germain's treble win last season.

He kept a clean sheet in the Champions League final as PSG beat Inter Milan 5-0, before his summer move to the Premier League.

Four of England's Euro 2025 winners were named in the Best Fifa Women's XI - Leah Williamson, Alessia Russo, Hannah Hampton and Lucy Bronze.

And Cole Palmer and Jude Bellingham were named in the Best Men's XI for this year.
