Different families have different rules for when and where children can use their tech and devices.

But what about when it comes to adults using their phones during family time?

The Children's Commissioner for England, Dame Rachel de Souza - whose job it is to protect the rights of children - has said that parents should lead by example this Christmas and get off their phones when spending time with family.

So we want to hear from YOU. Do you ever find your parents or guardians distracted by their phones when you're together?

Dame Rachel de Souza said that children were "crying out" for more quality time with their families over the festive break, and urged parents to have "phone-free time".

She explained: "I can't tell you how many children tell me about sitting at dinner and the parents are on the phone, or they're out walking on their mobile phones instead of talking.

"Let's this Christmas put our phones down, spend time together where both the adults and the children are off their phones together."

According to a recent survey, nearly half of parents with children aged 18 or younger plan to allow phones at the Christmas dinner table this year.

"So this Christmas, let's turn them off, let's have some fun together, and let's lead by example," Dame Rachel said.
