Explaining the Six Nations in 60 seconds

It's Super Saturday in the men's Six Nations rugby tournament. That means it is the final day, when the last set of matches are played and the champion will be decided.

Six countries take part in the Six Nations: England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France and Italy. Teams earn points for winning matches, and the team with the most points at the end wins the tournament.

Scotland, Ireland and France all have a chance to win the title.

Let us know in the comments what you think will happen as the tournament comes to a close today.

This year, Scotland could win the title for the first time in 27 years.

They have not been tournament champions since 1999. At that time the competition was called the Five Nations, before Italy joined and it became the Six Nations as it's known today.

For Scotland to win, two things need to happen:

Scotland must beat Ireland in the first match of the day in Dublin.

And hope that England can stop defending champions France from gaining maximum points in their match in Paris.

Ireland also still have a chance to finish top. Ireland need to beat Scotland, and they also need England to beat France. If that happens, Ireland would finish first and win the Triple Crown. The Triple Crown is a special prize for a team that beats England, Scotland and Wales in the same tournament.

In the other match, Wales play Italy. Wales would need a very big win, and for England to lose heavily, to avoid finishing last in the table.
