Mother and son duo make history in Alpine Skiing

How would you feel about competing with your Mum?
Well Mexico's Sarah Schleper and Lasse Gaxiola just made Winter Olympics history as the first mother-son duo to compete at the same Games.
It's Schleper's seventh games, but for 18-year-old Gaxiola - the same age his mother made her Olympic debut - it was his first.
"I must be like the gold medalist here," she told reporters.
"Racing with your son, I guess that's better than a gold medal."

Lasse Gaxiola skied up a flurry at the men's giant slalom alpine event on Saturday
They weren't rivals - Schleper skied in the Giant Slalom event, while Gaxiola was in the men's slalom.
Schleper finished 26th and last in Thursday's women's Olympic super-G and said she felt like she won gold.
But she said Gaxiola could find her embarrassing - especially when she was doing "show-offy" things on the slopes.
"He's like, 'Mom, no, no, no.' He's embarrassed about everything. I was the same with my parents."

Just stop it mum.
Schleper also broke records as the oldest female Alpine skier to compete at an Olympic Winter Games, and she hasn't ruled out competing again in the future.
Appearing at the games together was a full circle moment for the duo.
In 2011, Schleper carried her son, who was then three years old, down the Alpine Ski World Cup Women's Slalom course.
At the time, she thought it would be her last professional ski run, as she had said she would be retiring.
So is it cool or cringe to compete in the same field as a parent and would you do it? Let us know in the comments!
