After nearly a decade at the club, Mohamed Salah will be leaving Liverpool this summer.

The right-winger signed a new two-year contract in April last year, but will leave on a free transfer.

He announced the news on social media saying: "Leaving is never easy. You gave me the best time of my life. I will be always one of you.

"Because of all of you, I will never walk alone."

Mo Salah is arguably one of the best players to have graced Anfield after being signed from AS Roma in 2017.

He has achieved eight major trophies while with LFC: Two Premier League titles, one Champions League, one FA Cup, two League Cups, the FIFA Club World Cup and a UEFA Super Cup.

He has racked up a staggering 255 goals in 435 appearances so far.

That puts him in third on the Red's all-time leading goal scorers chart.

His 189 goals and 92 assists in the Premier League is the most any player has contributed for one club in the division's history.

He also smashed the club's record for how quickly he scored 100 league goals for Liverpool, scoring that many in just 151 games.

The number 11 holds the record for the most games a player has registered both a goal and an assist in the Premier League.

When Salah scored a hat-trick at Old Trafford in October 2021, he became the first visiting player to do that in Premier League history.

Speaking of hat-tricks, he also holds the record for the quickest hat-trick in a Champions League Game.

He scored three goals against Rangers in October 2022 in just 6 minutes and 12 seconds.

Salah has also matched Thierry Henry's record of claiming the Premier League's Golden Boot four times as well as matching the record for being named Premier League Player of the Month.

He's claimed that accolade seven time - that's the same as Sergio Aguero and Harry Kane.

His team mates have been flooding social media calling him a legend, a king and "one of the greatest to ever wear the shirt"

When speaking about his departure, Salah said:

"Liverpool is not just a football club, it's a passion, it's a history, it's a spirit. I can't explain in words to anyone not part of this club.

"We celebrated victory, we won the most important trophies and we fought together through the hardest time in our life.

"I want to thank everyone who was part of this club throughout my time here, especially the teammates past and present."

The Egyptian still has the rest of the season to play before he leaves.

Will he continue to smash some records before he goes?
