Steve Aoki has apologised after breaking a fan's neck in 2012.

The DJ is said to have given Brittany Hickman concussion and fractured her neck when he jumped from the stage into a blow-up dinghy.

The boat was resting on top of the crowd at his show at the Hard Rock Cafe in San Diego when he stage dived.

The $10.7m (£8.1m) court case was scheduled for later this month but has been settled in a confidential agreement out of court.

Steve Aoki is known for doing crazy things at his shows, including throwing cakes into the faces of the crowd.

Courtroom View Network, external reports that he asked the panel to award $2m (£1.5m) for past pain and suffering and $8m (£6.1m) for the future, plus up to $783,500 (£599,000) in medical expenses.
