Council objects to Pentlands Regional Park plan

  • Published

Scottish Borders Council has agreed to lodge a formal objection to plans to extend the Pentlands Regional Park.

MSP Christine Grahame introduced a private members bill to extend its southern boundary into the Borders earlier this year.

The council will object to the bill, having expressed concerns about the financial implications of the park.

The move will allow the authority to make a representation at a Holyrood select committee on the matter.
