One bay remains closed to admissions at Borders General Hospital
Long-standing problems with the norovirus at Borders General Hospital have been reduced, with just one bay now closed to admissions.
Visiting the affected area of ward 12 is still being "strongly discouraged".
However, a bay in ward four, which was also admitting no new patients this week, has now fully reopened.
MSP Christine Grahame recently raised concerns that the bug - first reported in January - was taking a long time to be cleared from the hospital.
She has since met with NHS Borders and Health Secretary Alex Neil to discuss the situation.
She said she had now been assured the problem was not unusual but has asked to be kept updated.
